ABOUT JOCK
Jock is a very handsome black & white roan AKC and UKC registered male with a powerful, cobby, muscular build. His sire and dam are both Grand Champions of the Field and his 3 generation pedigree is second to none in the United States. Jock comes from a very successful USA multiple breeding with many brothers and sisters also having immense success in field trials. He was confirmed and rated "C1 Excellent" under French expert conformation judge Jean-Francois Maillett and American expert conformation judge Robert Olson. His hips were certified "Good" at 25 months of age by the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) and has been tested and certified by Animal Genetics as a non Ay gene carrier. Jock aggressively covers the upland terrain and is an absolute joy to hunt behind on quail in western Oklahoma and pheasant in Kansas. His pace on cover is consistent on an all day hunt. He is masterful at adjusting his hunting style to upland cover and tends to work a bit further out in the field than our females which proves complementary to our hunting party. He is an outstanding natural retriever to hand (on land and from water) and possesses a strong desire to hunt for his human counterpart and not for himself. Jock has competed in both wild bird and liberated bird field trials earning his TAN (test of natural ability) and WRT (water retrieval test) titles proving his natural pointing ability and retrieving ability from water. He also earned his GUN title in field trial competition with two passes and a 1st place finish. Jock is one of the Epagneul Bretons showcased on Scott Linden's Wingshooting USA TV show that aired on multiple cable networks in August of 2017. A second episode aired nationwide in July of 2018. Jock also happens to be an amazing indoor family dog with a loving temperament and a mischievous personality our family enjoys. He truly is a prime representation of the Epagneul Breton gun dog and we are excited for his future contribution to the Epagneul Breton breed in the United States.
