Native is a beautiful tricolor AKC and UKC registered female with a cobby build with very unique markings. Her dam is a Grand Champion of the Field and her sire is also a Grand Champion of the Field. Her 3 generation pedigree is outstanding and represents a new high quality line produced in the United States. Native was confirmed to the Epagneul Breton breed standard in April 2019 under French confirmateur Jean-Francois Maillet and was assigned a rating of C1 Excellent in the show ring. Native's hips were certified by OFA in March 2019 with an "Excellent" certification rating. Native aggressively covers the upland terrain and is a close worker for the foot hunter. She has a nice quality of checking in with her handler for direction and consequently is pleasant to hunt behind. She is an outstanding natural retriever to hand (on land and from water). At 7 months of age Native competed in a UKC sanctioned event and earned her TAN (test of natural ability) and WRT (water retrieval test) titles proving her natural pointing ability and retrieving ability from water. We did limited yard work and training with Native prior to the 2017-2018 upland season allowing her to just be a puppy. We enjoyed hunting behind her on quail, chukar, and pheasant. She covers the field aggressively and was an absolute joy to watch her progress naturally. We began formal field training with her the spring and summer of 2018 in preparation for the 2018-2019 upland and waterfowl seasons. Besides being an outstanding gun dog Native is an amazing indoor family dog with a loving and loyal temperament. In the home you will find her cuddled up on the couch with a family member. She truly is a prime representation of the Epagneul Breton gun dog and we are excited for her future contribution to the Epagneul Breton breed in the United States.
